Man Killed in Modesto Crash on Interstate 5 near Davis Road
Patterson, California – A man was killed in a crash involving a tractor on Tuesday afternoon near Patterson in Stanislaus County.
The accident happened on northbound 5 Freeway near Davis Road, just after noon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 26-year-old Arizona man was driving a Subaru southbound on the freeway when he crossed into northbound lanes and collided head-on with a tractor.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the tractor was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Drugs and/or alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
