Man Dies After Motorcycle Accident on Road 26 at Mateo Way

Madera, California – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle that killed a man last week in Madera County.

The accident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on July 31, on Road 26 at Mateo Way.

Police confirmed a man was riding a Baodi motorcycle southbound on Road 26 when he was hit by a 2021 Ford F-250 pickup truck that was trying to making a U-turn.

The man was thrown off his bike onto the roadway following the crash.

The rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on August 2.

The male pickup truck driver was not hurt in the collision.

No more information concerning this crash was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
