Man, 69, Struck Killed by Two Cars on El Camino Real in San Carlos

Man Killed in San Carlos Pedestrian Accident on El Camino Real
San Carlos, California – A man died after being hit by a car early Sunday morning in San Carlos.
The fatal collision happened around 6:57 a.m. on the 1400 block of El Camino Real, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The 69-year-old Redwood City man was walking in the area and was struck by two cars.
Paramedics tried reviving the man but he succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
The driver of the first vehicle stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
The second driver, 66-year-old Hok Gwan Jong from San Mateo, fled the scene but was later located and arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
