Man Killed in Ukiah Car Accident on Highway 243 near Stipp Lane
Ukiah, California – A man was killed in a head-on collision on Thursday morning in Ukiah, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on Highway 243 near Stipp Lane when a 2020 Honda Civic sedan that was traveling westbound drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a 2020 Ford Ranger being driven by a 79-year-old Ukiah man.
The 47-year-old Santa Rosa man driving the Honda sedan was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The pickup truck driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Adventist Health Ukiah Valley.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
