Man Killed in Victorville Crash on 15 Freeway Identified
Victorville, California: 20-year-old Martin Torres of Los Angeles died in a crash that happened Saturday on 15 Freeway in Victorville, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.
The accident occurred around 4:09 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway south of Nisqualli Road.
The California Highway Patrol said Torres was driving a blue Audi GTRS south on Mariposa Road, north of the intersection with Cottonwood. The Audi struck the curb and launched onto the freeway where it collided with a gray Nissan Pathfinder.
Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan and a passenger were treated for minor injuries.
The crash forced the closure of all northbound 15 Freeway at 4:30 p.m.
