Westminster, California – A bicyclist died after being struck by a car at an intersection in Westminster early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5 a.m. at 20th Street and Beach Boulevard.
The 54-year-old Alaskan man was riding a bicycle when a car struck him at the intersection.
Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded to the crash and pronounced the cyclist dead.
The name of the deceased person was disclosed pending notification of the family.
The driver called the authorities and stayed at the scene.
