Man Killed in Winchester Crash on Winchester Road near Pourroy Road
Winchester, California – A 20-year-old man died in a head-on collision on Friday night in Winchester, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened on Winchester Road just north of Pourroy Road at around 8:25 p.m.
A 20-year-old Winchester man was driving a Honda Accord northbound and attempted an illegal U-turn over two sets of painted solid double yellow lines and collided with a southbound Nissan Rogue.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he died.
The 56-year-old Oceanside man driving the Nissan and his 17-year-old male passenger were taken to taken to Inland Valley Medical Center with moderate injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
