Man Killed in Wrong-Way Collision in Visalia Identified
Tulare, California: 21-year-old Lisandro Santos was the man who died in a car collision involving a wrong-way vehicle early Wednesday morning near Visalia.
Authorities said the accident occurred around 3:11 a.m. on northbound Highway 99 near Betty Drive.
The collision involved a Toyota Camry and a Dodge Challenger.
Santos was driving one of the cars when 20-year-old Saul Armenta drove the wrong way and collided head-on with Santos.
Santos died in the crash. His family opened a GoFundMe account to help raise funds to cater for the funeral expenses.
Armenta was hospitalized with major injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
