Man on Wheelchair Hit and Seriously Injured by Car in South Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona: A man using a motorized wheelchair was hit and seriously injured by a car Monday morning near an intersection in south Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident was reported just before 10 a.m. near 7th Street and Southern Avenue.
The pedestrian was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The car driver stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Police said drugs and alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors.
