Man Riding Bicycle Hit, Killed by Car in Kent
Kent, Washington: A 48-year-old cyclist died when he was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon in Kent, authorities said.
According to witnesses, the Kent man was riding his bicycle in the 800 block of Central Avenue South when he abruptly turned in front of a vehicle going south.
The incident happened around 12:33 p.m.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and attempted lifesaving measures, but the man died from his injuries.
The 24-year-old man driving the car stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Impairment is not thought to be a contributing factor.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

A motorcyclist reportedly collided with a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The male rider was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Oxnard, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday afternoon at an intersection in Oxnard.
The incident was reported around 4:45 p.m. at Ventura Road and Second Street.
Authorities said a 26-year-old Bakersfield man was driving a 2022 Toyota Tacoma heading northbound on Ventura Road when he failed to yield to three other drivers while making a left turn at the intersection and caused a collision.
A motorcyclist involved in the crash was hospitalized in critical condition.
Officers are investigating drug impairment as a possible contributing factor.

Isleton, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a car Sunday afternoon near Isleton, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported just after 2 p.m. on State Route 160 near State Route 12.
A rider on a red motorcycle reportedly attempted to pass a black Ford Focus but hit it.
Solano County firefighters responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance to transport the seriously injured rider to a hospital.
The victim was airlifted to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center in unknown condition.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
