Man Killed in Baldwin Park Accident Involving Pocket Bike and Truck near Vineland and Pacific Avenues
Man Riding Pocket Bike Hit, Killed by Truck in Baldwin Park
Baldwin Park, California: A man died when the pocket bike he was riding was struck by a by a truck Saturday afternoon near an intersection in Baldwin Park.
Baldwin Park police said the accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. at Vineland and Pacific avenues.
Police said the rider was hit by a GMC truck.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver stopped and cooperated with investigators.
The California Highway Patrol said pocket bikes are only legal to operate on private property.
Investigators closed the intersection for about two and a half hours following the crash.
