Man Killed in Mendocino County Car Accident on Highway 101 near Cal Fire Howard Forest Station
Man Struck, Killed by Car on Highway 101 near Cal Fire Howard Forest Station in Mendocino County
Mendocino, California – A man died after being struck by a car in Mendocino County on Sunday morning.
The accident was reported at around 4 a.m. on Highway 101 just north of the Cal Fire Howard Forest Station, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound north when it traveled across the opposite lanes and up a dirt embankment.
The driver of the Toyota exited the vehicle and was struck by a second car.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Authorities do not believe intoxication was a factor in the accident.
