Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Logan Heights Scooter Crash
San Diego, California: A 29-year-old man riding a scooter was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he collided with an MTS trolley Monday afternoon.
San Diego police said the accident was reported at about 3 p.m. at 31st Street and Commercial Street.
Authorities said the man was riding his 2016 Vespa scooter when, for an unknown reason, he lost control and rear-ended the trolley.
The rider sustained severe, life-threatening injuries, including a shattered frontal cranium.
The trolley tracks remained closed in both directions following the accident.
SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the accident.
