Maria Cruz Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Justine and Springfield Avenues in Reedley
Reedley, California – Maria Cruz, 72, of Reedley, has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Reedley on Tuesday night.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred at around 7:52 p.m. at Justine and Springfield avenues, according to the Reedley Police Department.
Cruz was crossing the street pushing using a walker when she was struck by a car driven by a 60-year-old woman.
Police say Cruz suffered critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital where she later died.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The accident remains under investigation.
