Marianne Casey Killed in La Palma Crash at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street
La Palma, California – Marianne Casey, 67, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a car crash on Wednesday afternoon in La Palma.
The crash happened around 12:40 p.m. at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street.
A police pursuit started at North Gilbert Street and West Malvern Avenue when a detective noticed the theft of a white Nissan Rogue.
The suspect, 46-year-old Anthony Hanzal of Anaheim, drove away and was involved in a non-injury crash near Brookhurst Road and Orangethorpe Avenue.
Hanzal did not stop and the pursuit continued on westbound of 91 Freeway.
The chase ended at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street when the suspect collided with a BMW.
Casey was driving the BMW and was killed in the crash.
Hanzal and two other people were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Hanzal was taken to Orange County Jail on Thursday.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
