Maricopa Woman Killed in Taft Car Accident Identified

Taft, California: 54-year-old April Dawneen Davis died a day after she was injured in a traffic collision that happened last month at an intersection in Taft, the Kern County Coroner’s Office said.

The Maricopa woman was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that occurred around 4:37 p.m. on October 28 at Wood Street and Naylor Avenue.

Davis was a passenger in one of the cars.

She was taken to Kern Medical for treatment but died on October 29 while receiving treatment.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
