Marjorie Vasquez Killed in Goleta Crash on Hollister Avenue
Goleta, California – 86-year-old Marjorie Vasquez has been identified as the woman who died after being struck by a car on Tuesday evening in Goleta.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident in the 7300 block of Hollister Avenue near Lowell Way around 6:03 p.m., according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was reportedly struck by a car in unclear circumstances.
Vasquez, a resident of Goleta, was killed in the accident.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the accident and cooperated with the police.
Police said they do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
