Mathew Loayza Killed in Long Beach Motorcycle Accident at Long Beach Boulevard and Eighth Street
Long Beach, California – Mathew Loayza, 27, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as the motorcyclist who died in a collision on Wednesday evening in Long Beach.
The fatal crash happened around 6 p.m. near the Long Beach Boulevard and Eighth Street grade crossing.
The man was riding a motorcycle in the area when he was struck by a Metro A Line train.
Long Beach Police Department officers arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving measures on the motorcyclist.
Mathew succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
