Fresno County, California (May 2, 2023) – The Fresno County Coroner’s office has identified 36-year-old Meshach Cornish as the man killed in a truck accident on Friday morning in Fresno County.
The fatal collision occurred at around 10:45 a.m. on April 28 at Marks and Ashlan Avenues.
Police confirmed Cornish was heading northbound on Marks Avenue when he slammed into the rear of a large work truck parked on Marks Avenue. It was reported that the truck was blocking the right lane marked by traffic cones.
Fire officials and medical personnel rushed to the scene to attend to the victims. Cornish was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died.
Further details regarding this collision were not released.
An investigation is ongoing.

According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
