Michael Alan Lowder Jr. Dies After El Cajon Pedestrian Crash on Dehesa Road
El Cajon, California – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified Michael Alan Lowder Jr., 31, as the person killed after a pedestrian accident last week Wednesday.
The deadly collision occurred in the 5270 block of Dehesa Road near Sycuan Casino at about 4:56 a.m. on August 7.
Police said Lowder Jr. was standing in the westbound lane of the highway when a westbound Nissan pickup truck struck him.
Lowder Jr. was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with several blunt force injuries. He succumbed to his injuries at 2:02 p.m. on August 8.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene after the collision.
Lowder Jr. was reportedly homeless at the time.
An investigation is ongoing.
