Michael Pohl Dies After Columbia County Crash on Highway 30
Columbia County, Oregon (September 7, 2023) – According to the Oregon State Police, 59-year-old Michael Robert Pohl was killed; and Beverly Ann Seymore hospitalized after a head-on collision on Tuesday afternoon in Columbia County.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:10 p.m. on September 5 on Highway 30 near milepost 36.
Police confirmed Seymore was heading eastbound in a Ford E-250 when he crossed the median line and slammed head-on into a Nissan Frontier operated by Pohl.
Pohl was declared dead at the scene.
Seymore was flown to an area medical center following the collision.
Authorities closed the roadway for around three and a half hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
The incident remains under investigation.
