Victorville, Calif. – Michael Pont, 42, of Apple Valley, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Victorville on Friday night.
The accident happened at around 8:01 p.m. on Amethyst Road at Ironstone Avenue, according to the Victorville Fire Department.
Pont was crossing the intersection and was struck by a four-door sedan.
Pont was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the car stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
