Montae Cook Killed in Los Angeles Crash at South Avalon and East Compton
Los Angeles, California – Montae Cook, 27, has been identified as the man who was killed in a collision involving a fire truck near Compton early Tuesday morning.
The fatal collision was reported at around 12:32 a.m. at South Avalon and East Compton boulevards, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A speeding blue 2004 Chrysler going westbound on Avalon Boulevard when it struck a fire truck responding to an emergency call.
Cook and 26-year-old Asia Allen-Bookman, both residents of Signal Hill, were killed in the accident.
