Morgan Hill Woman Fatally Hit by Vehicle on Highway 101 in San Jose
San Jose, California: An 18-year-old Morgan Hill woman died after she was hit by a suspected DUI driver Saturday night on Highway 101 in San Jose.
The woman’s cousin, Jill Moore, identified her as Emily Hamilton.
The accident occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the southbound lanes just south of Hellyer Avenue.
According to investigators, Hamilton was driving her car going home from work when she got rear-ended by another vehicle. She pulled over to exchange information with the other driver but was hit by a second driver.
Hamilton sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The driver involved in the second crash, only identified as a 43-year-old Morgan Hill woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence. She suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Authorities partially closed southbound Highway 101 south of Hellyer Avenue for several hours following the accident.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
