Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash on SR-99 in Oroville
Oroville, CA. – A motorcyclist was airlifted after a head-on collision that happened Thursday night in Oroville, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported around 9:48 p.m. on northbound State Route 99 at Shippee Road.
According to CHP, a Can-Am Spyder 3-wheeled motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck that had reportedly pulled out in front of the bike.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries. An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to airlift the victim to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the pickup, a volunteer firefighter, stopped and remained at the scene after the collision.
All northbound lanes of SR-99 remained blocked during the investigation.
