Rider Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Menifee Motorcycle Crash at Menifee and Newport Roads

Motorcyclist Critically Hurt in Rear-End Collision in Menifee

Menifee, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after colliding with a car Thursday night at an intersection in Menifee.

The Menifee Police Department said the crash occurred around 11:35 p.m. at Menifee and Newport roads.

Investigators said a male rider on a Harley-Davidson was traveling eastbound on Newport when he slammed into the back of a Toyota sedan heading in the same direction.

The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the westbound lanes of Newport.

Riverside County Fire Department personnel responded and transported the motorcyclist to a regional trauma center, where doctors determined he was in critical condition.

The driver of the Toyota was also hospitalized with minor injuries.

Investigators said they are investigating alcohol intoxication as a possible factor contributing to the accident.
