Rider Killed in Vancouver Motorcycle Accident at East 15th Street and Main Street
Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Vancouver
Vancouver, Washington: A man died in a motorcycle accident that happened Friday night at an intersection in Vancouver.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, the accident was reported around 10:30 p.m. near 15th Street and Main Street.
Investigators said a Dodge pickup truck was traveling west on 15th Street, approaching Main Street. The pickup had a green light when a man riding a Harley Davidson north on Main Street failed to stop at the red light at the intersection and hit the driver’s side of the pickup.
The man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Witnesses told police that the rider was traveling at about 70-80 mph prior to the crash. Speed in the area is restricted to 20 mph.
