Motorcyclist Dies in Crash with Car in Santa Ana

Santa Ana, California: A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Tuesday night near an intersection in Santa Ana, the city’s police department said.

The accident was reported around 11 p.m. on Bristol Street at Central Avenue.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Bristol approaching Central when a car heading south attempted to make an eastbound turn onto Central and the two collided.

The man riding the bike was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the car stopped and remained at the scene.

Police said impairment did not appear to be a contributing factor.

An investigation is ongoing.
