Motorcyclist Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash in Fife
Fife, Washington: A motorcyclist died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday morning on Interstate 5 in Fife, the Washington State Patrol reported.
WSP said the wreck happened at around 3:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes near 54th Avenue East.
Officers believe the driver of a BMW was speeding when they hit a 48-year-old Tacoma woman riding a motorcycle.
The woman died from her injuries.
The BMW did not stop at the scene but ended up overturned onto its roof about a mile away.
The driver fled the scene. He is believed to be a 20-year-old man from the Auburn area. He was last seen wearing a T-shirt and black pants.
Police are searching for the suspect.
