Motorcyclist Fleeing Coronado Police Killed in Crash
Coronado, California: A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Wednesday morning at an intersection in Coronado.
According to the Coronado Police Department, officers attempted to pull over a speeding motorcyclist, but instead of stopping, the rider sped away.
The motorcyclist crashed into a vehicle while riding northbound on Silver Strand at Coronado Cays Boulevard.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The northbound lanes of Silver Strand remained closed as authorities investigated.
