Motorcyclist Hit and Killed by DUI Driver in Modesto
Modesto, California: A motorcyclist died after being hit by a DUI driver Saturday evening at an intersection in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 47-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when, at around 7:55 p.m., he failed to yield the right of way to a 46-year-old motorcyclist at Crows Landing and Ehrlich roads.
The motorcycle and the Chevy collided, ejecting the rider. The victim came to rest under the car.
The motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities said the Chevy driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
