Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crash on I-80 in Berkeley
Berkeley, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a traffic collision on Interstate 80 in Berkeley, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway west of the University Avenue off-ramp after receiving reports of the collision at around 5:25 p.m. on Friday.
A Suzuki motorcycle collided with a red Honda CR-V for an unknown reason.
Emergency personnel transported the rider to a hospital with major injuries.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes remained blocked as investigators worked the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
