Motorcyclist Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Clovis Crash
Clovis, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after colliding with a car Thursday evening in Clovis, authorities reported.
The accident took place around 6:46 p.m. at Sierra and Cypress avenues.
Clovis police said an SUV was traveling southbound on Cypress when the driver stopped at the stop sign at Sierra and then proceeded to make a left turn onto eastbound Sierra.
As the driver was turning, the SUV collided with a motorcyclist traveling westbound on Sierra.
The rider, who was wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries. Emergency personnel transported the victim to the hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
The driver of the car remained at the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
