Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Casitas Pass near Foothill in Carpinteria
Santa Barbara, California – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a vehicle near Carpinteria on Saturday.
The accident was reported at around 4 p.m. in the 5600 block of Casitas Pass Road near Foothill Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcyclist is reported to have collided with a car on the highway in unclear circumstances.
The rider, an adult male in his 30s, suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The roadway was temporarily closed as authorities processed the accident scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
