Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding with Pickup Truck in San Rafael
San Rafael, California: 70-year-old Douglas Armstrong of Mill Valley died after colliding with a pickup truck last week on Highway 101 in San Rafael, the Marin County Coroner’s Office said.
The accident occurred around 8 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway north of Interstate 580.
Armstrong was riding a BMW motorcycle when he changed lanes and collided with a Ford F-150 towing a utility trailer.
The motorcyclist went down and got run over by the trailer.
Paramedics rushed Armstrong to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be contributing factors.
An investigation is ongoing.
