Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding with SUV in Livermore

Livermore, California: A motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV Tuesday afternoon at an intersection in Livermore.

Livermore police said the collision was reported around 4:50 p.m. on North Mines Road at Shirley Way.

A man in his 30s was riding a motorcycle northbound on North Mines, and a red Honda CR-V was traveling south.

The Honda driver allegedly failed to see the rider and made a left turn onto Shirley Way, causing a collision.

The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department firefighters responded and performed CPR on the rider, but he did not survive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
