Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Westlake Blvd and Hillcrest Dr in Thousand Oaks Identified
Thousand Oaks, California: Authorities identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a car last week in Thousand Oaks as 21-year-old Jose Luis Diaz Cruz.
The Oxnard resident was involved in the accident around 11 p.m. on June 14 at Westlake Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist collided with another vehicle at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
The rider sustained serious injuries in the accident. Responding deputies offered him life-saving measures before paramedics arrived and took over. The victim was taken to Los Robles Hospital, where he later died from the injuries.
The other motorist was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
Authorities are still investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
