Motorcyclist Killed in Crash near 22nd St. and Indian School Rd. in Phoenix Identified

Phoenix, Arizona: A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Saturday morning near an intersection in central Phoenix.

According to police, the accident happened around 12:25 a.m. near 22nd Street and Indian School Road.

Police said 27-year-old Ansar Azim was riding a motorcycle in the curb lane when a 53-year-old man driving a Jeep failed to yield the right of way and turned left from 22nd Street onto Indian School Road in the path of Azim.

The motorcyclist collided with the car, sustaining serious injuries. Paramedics transported the rider to the hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the Jeep stopped and remained at the scene.

Police are investigating the collision.
