Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on SR-76 near Palomar Mountain
North County, California: California Highway Patrol officers said a motorcyclist died after he crashed into the rear of a pickup truck Sunday evening on State Route 76 near Palomar Mountain.
The 33-year-old Temecula man was riding a Yamaha Tenere 700 west on the highway when he rear-ended a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck at around 6:30 p.m. near Sengme Oaks Road near the La Jolla Indian Reservation.
The man was thrown from his bike and sustained fatal injuries. Responding emergency personnel pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
Authorities did not immediately determine what led to the accident, but they are investigating.
