Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Car in Tucson Identified

Tucson, Arizona: Authorities said 29-year-old Randall Jacob Miller died when his motorcycle collided with a car near an intersection in Tucson.

According to Tucson police, the accident was reported around 6:30 p.m. near Wilmot Road and Fairmount Street.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Miller was riding his bike south on Wilmot and a white 2014 Toyota Rav4 was traveling north on Wilmot when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto westbound Fairmount and collided with the motorcycle.

Miller was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The car driver was also taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities said failure to yield while making a left turn by the Toyota driver was a contributing factor. Investigators examined the driver for DUI and determined they were not impaired at the time of the crash. The driver was cited for causing death by a moving violation, a misdemeanor.
