Motorcyclist Killed in Fontana Crash Identified

Fontana, California: 46-year-old Michael Banks was the rider who died in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday morning in Fontana.

Authorities said the collision was reported at around 8:33 a.m. on July 19 on Citrus Avenue, just north of Slover Avenue.

Banks was reportedly riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he collided into the back of a car.

The 46-year-old Chino man was ejected from his bike and thrown about 50 yards away, sustaining severe injuries.

Responding emergency personnel transported him to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he later died at 9:21 p.m. the same day.

The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with investigators.
