Motorcyclist Killed in Manteca Crash on West Yosemite Avenue
Manteca, California: A motorcyclist died Monday morning after colliding with an SUV near West Yosemite Avenue and Fishback Road in Manteca, according to police.
The incident happened just before 9 a.m.
Manteca police said prior to the collision, a man was riding a motorcycle east on West Yosemite, and a woman was driving an SUV west on the same road.
The woman attempted to turn onto Fishback but collided with the motorcyclist.
The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver stayed at the scene after the collision.
Police said DUI was not a factor, but they are investigating to determine whether the motorcyclist was speeding.
