San Jose, California: The San Jose Police Department said a motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle Monday morning at an intersection in the city.
The collision was reported around 6:30 a.m. at the Alameda and Newhall Street.
A male motorcyclist collided with a car at the intersection.

The rider was taken to the hospital with major injuries. The victim later died while receiving treatment.
Police officers closed the Alameda between Idaho Street and I-880 as they investigated.
