Jonathan Genavia Killed in Saturday Afternoon Motorcycle Crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County
Motorcyclist Killed in Pacific Coast Highway Accident Identified
Ventura County, California: 35-year-old Jonathan Genavia of Oxnard has been identified as the motorcyclist who died after a driver turned in front of his path Saturday afternoon on Pacific Coast Highway.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. south of Deer Creek Road.
According to CHP, Genavia was riding his 2022 Harley-Davidson southbound on the highway, and a 74-year-old Oxnard man was on the right shoulder in a Toyota Corolla.
The driver of the Corolla reportedly made a turn directly in front of Genevia’s motorcycle.
Emergency personnel responded and requested an air ambulance to land in a nearby helicopter landing zone along the highway and airlift Genevia to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist died from his injuries while medical personnel were trying to resuscitate him before the helicopter took off.
