Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Collision at Del Monte Avenue and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach, California – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision that occurred at an intersection in Ocean Beach on Saturday afternoon.
The San Diego Police Department said the accident was reported around 5 p.m. at Del Monte Avenue and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.
A 20-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson northbound on southbound Sunset Avenue in an attempt to pass backed-up traffic.
A Honda CR-V had stopped at a stop sign on Del Monte Avenue at Sunset Cliffs Boulevard before proceeding eastbound.
The motorcyclist then collided with the Honda.
The rider sustained multiple lacerations, a broken left femur and a dislocated right elbow.
More details regarding the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
