Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Collision on I-105 near Downey
Downey, California: A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a car Sunday afternoon on Interstate 105 near Downey.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:46 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the interstate near Paramount Boulevard.
A black Civic motorcycle and a white BMW sedan were involved in the accident.
The motorcycle ended up blocking the HOV lane.
CHP officers and the Downey Fire Department responded to the scene.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with major injuries, including a possible broken leg.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
