Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Morena Crash on Friars Road

San Diego, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after colliding with a car Friday afternoon in Morena, police said.

The accident took place at about 3 p.m. on Friars Road at Donahue Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a 31-year-old man was riding a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the first westbound lane of Friars.

At the same time, a 30-year-old woman was driving a 2018 Honda Civic southbound on Donahue Street.

Police said the woman attempted to turn left onto the eastbound lanes of Friars in front of the motorcycle.

The rider broadsided the car.

Paramedics took the rider to the hospital with a broken pelvis. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The female driver complained of pain.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
