Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Lincoln Park Crash

San Diego, California: A motorcyclist was hospitalized with severe injuries after a collision that occurred Saturday night in San Diego’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened just after 8 p.m. on Euclid Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 31-year-old rider on a black 2009 Harley Davidson was traveling south on Euclid Avenue.

A black 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven on the opposite side of the street by a 70-year-old man made a left-hand turn in the middle of the road and into the motorcycle’s path.

The motorcyclist dropped the bike, slid about 40 feet, and hit the truck’s right-side panels.

The rider sustained a collapsed lung, left femur and pelvic fractures.

No other details were available, but police are investigating the crash.
