At Least Six Hospitalized After Fresno Car Accident at Willow and Olive Avenues
Multiple Injured After DUI Suspect Runs Red Light, Causes Chain-Reaction Crash in Fresno
Fresno, California: Multiple people were hurt in a multi-vehicle rollover collision that happened Friday afternoon at an intersection in Fresno.
The Fresno Police Department said the crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. at Willow and Olive avenues.
The collision happened when a blue sedan heading west on Olive at a high rate of speed ran a red light at Willow, hit a white car making a left turn, and then crashed into another vehicle, causing it to overturn. The third car was heading eastbound.
At least six people were injured. Police initially said at least four were in critical condition, but later updated to serious condition. At least two others complained of pain.
Police said open and non-opened alcohol containers were found in the blue sedan. The driver of that car was also hospitalized. It was not immediately clear if the driver was arrested.
