Multiple Injured After Multi-Car Pileup on Dust-Covered Highway near Chowchilla
Madera County, California: Multiple people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Monday afternoon during a powerful dust storm near Chowchilla in Madera County.
Authorities said the incident happened around 1 p.m. on Highway 152 near Road 17.
About 20 cars were involved in the crash when a dust storm caused drivers to lose visibility, CHP said.
Several people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators encouraged people to be alert while on the road as we continue into the winter months.
